I recently read a liberating article on Redcutress by Grace Bahler,"I Don’t Care If People Don’t Like Me, I Just Need a List of Who and Why Not." It made me envious!
I have such admiration for the woman in this article because I grew up in an off-the-boat Irish house. I was taught to care about what everybody thinks about me all the time.
It’s exhausting and I H A T E it.
It’s why I picked my husband.
He actually doesn’t care what people think.
I consider this a super hero power.
It’s difficult at dinner parties or with parents at school because I have no idea what he is going to say.
You can find my husband, Lewis Fein on Facebook and will either love him or de-friend him in a day but either way I recommend you read the Four Agreements because the third one agreement, in my opinion, is the best one. Don’t Make Assumptions:
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.
Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
I live by this agreement and breathe on it daily. When you communicate what you want, you cut through the people you don’t need, and you find your tribe.
Breathwork teaches you how to let go of all those beliefs that were put on you by people that loved you but didn’t know any better, and find your own truth so you can find your tribe.
Because everyone needs a tribe.
