Being a Mindful Parent with Breathwork

Updated: Jun 7, 2019

Being a mindful parent definitely requires every breath in your body some days - and so, it is the focus of this week's Just Breathe with Eileen mini Breathwork podcast. Being a parent is the greatest gift and greatest challenge at the same moment. It brings to life the principle of Yin and Yang - that all things exist as inseparable and contradictory opposites.

Experts like Dr. Shefali Tsabary have written about conscious parenting, and the Chopra Center about mindful parenting, and I recommend you read their books and listen to their lectures.

Being a mindful parent is about being present not perfect, and that requires letting go off fear. Fear that our children will be hurt, they will fail, they will not be happy - they way we imagine it.

Today's Just Breathe mini meditation is an exercise to flip off our fears so our children can take the steps of their journey without the burden of our fears. So listen and let go of your fears and ideas of perfection and be present with your children.
