The Magic of Doing What You Love

Updated: Jun 7, 2019

In today's I Remember podcast, I share my memory of being pulled up on stage at The Geffen Playhouse to perform with celebrity master magician, actor, and sadly, recently deceased, Ricky Jay. It was an evening of firsts. At the time, my now husband, Lewis and I had just meet, and he was introducing me to places in Los Angeles beyond the beach.

I had known and loved David Mamet movies but did not know or appreciate Ricky Jay until I saw him perform and experienced the intellect of his act and the charm of his presence. Listen and honor a man who showed me, through his sleight-of-hand, the magic of doing what you love.
