Teens today are under an incredible amount of pressure to be achievers and popular. They often believe they’re doing things wrong, which can lead to stress, anxiety and a feeling of disconnection. Science has proven that meditation improves empathy, resilience and school performance, but getting teens to put down their devices and sit in silence is a bit of a joke.

Breathwork is the perfect fit for teens because it’s an active form of meditation that can help them break through stress, clear their minds and feel connection. And, the results are immediate, which, given a teen’s attention span is, again, a perfect fit.

1. It’s a workout – aka, it’s not boring: Our Power Breathwork sessions use deep breathing that will feel like a real workout. No lotus positions. No mantras. Sweating will happen.

2. It’s all about them – aka, it’s dope: We educate all our clients, even our teen clients, on the science behind why breathwork works. This includes info they will probably be learning about in their school's biology class: their sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, their blood’s pH levels, yadda, yadda. We do this because we want them to understand the power their breath gives them to be in control of their minds and emotions.
